Niram policy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Niram processes information when you use our dating and matchmaking service.

Effective and last updated: 15 September 2026

1. Information we process

Depending on how you use Niram, we process:

2. Why we process information

We use this information to create and operate your account; display suitable profiles; calculate approximate distance; enable interests, matching and messaging; deliver notifications; verify subscriptions; provide safety, blocking and reporting tools; prevent abuse; diagnose failures; comply with law; and enforce our Terms.

3. Legal grounds and your choices

Where applicable, processing is based on providing the service you request, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating a safe service, and legal obligations. Location access and notifications are optional device permissions. You can change discovery preferences, make your profile invisible, revoke device permissions, block or report members, or delete your account.

4. How information is shared

Your public profile is shown to eligible signed-in Niram members according to your settings. Messages are shared with their intended recipients. We use service providers including Google Firebase for authentication, databases, storage and cloud functions; Google Play for billing and distribution; Expo for app build and push-notification delivery; and map/tile providers for location features. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people and the service, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business reorganisation subject to appropriate safeguards.

5. Storage, security and retention

Niram uses access controls, authenticated requests, encrypted network connections, restricted database rules and limited administrative access. No service can guarantee absolute security.

Active-account information is retained while needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, Niram removes your sign-in identity and scrubs your profile, private profile, settings, notification token data and hosted profile images. Limited transaction, subscription, moderation, block, report, security and audit records may be retained where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance and community safety. Backup copies may persist for a limited recovery period before deletion.

6. Account deletion and rights

You can delete your account in the Niram app under Profile → Account → Delete account, or use the secure web deletion portal. Subject to applicable law, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your information.

7. Adult-only service

Niram is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit minors to create accounts. If we learn that a minor has used Niram, we will take steps to disable the account and remove associated personal information.

8. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, Niram relies on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy to reflect service, legal or safety changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published. Privacy concerns can be submitted through Niram’s in-app reporting mechanism. Account-deletion requests can be completed through the deletion portal.
